Airedale Terrier Brooch

This artisan sterling silver Airedale pendant brooch is unlike anything I've seen and the perfect wearable way to show your love for a special Airedale. I wanted to create something that was truly original and made to last. Designed and made in my Tunbridge Wells workshop, I wanted to capture the charming nature of this breed: its loving but inquisitive eyes, large gentle but hairy paws and soft ears with that distinctive fold. I have an Airedale, Rolo, who I love dearly so I wanted to capture the joy he brings into my life.

It took me a while to perfect the clasp for this brooch. It's a substantial piece so the pin needed to hold it just so but without being too thick. Each of my pieces is made in very small quantities which gives me the time to put a lot of care and detail into each and every piece I make. When I researched this brooch I didn't see anything even remotely like it. I hope it will capture the joy Airedales bring to their owners, dog enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates artisan British jewellery.
