Rice Pearl Flower Necklace

My Rice Pearl Necklace in oxidised silver features multiple chains decorated with two flowers made from rice pearl beads. I love the way the finished beads reflect nature and contrast beautifully with the chains to give a softness and movement.

Designer's notes
When I had my London workshop, I worked with a group of jewellery designers and we all created pieces with pearls for a show at the Barbican. I chose rice pearls and years later I found some left over in a drawer and came up with the idea of casting them in silver. This is one of the pieces that came about from that experiment.
