Aquamarine Turtle Shell Drop Earrings

My Aquamarine Turtle Shell Drop Earrings are large graceful two-part earrings that move gently when worn. The design combines silver and oxidised silver to accentuate the turtle shell inspired pattern.

Dimensions: whole earring - l 60mm x w 20mm
set with oval aquamarines - 6mm x 4mm

Designer’s notes

I made these earrings especially for the Goldsmiths Fair 2020.
 The earrings remind me of childhood visits to the beach and also of one of my favourite sea creatures – the turtle. I’ve always loved turtles and was lucky to swim with them on my honeymoon in the Caribbean.
 While the drop pendant is a regular shell-like shape, the stones nestle in the more irregular top piece. The polished Oxidised Silver is a contrast to the blue of the stones.
